Hallo Liebe Freunde,
In continuation with my blog posts from my wonderful road trip around the German and Austrian Alps, here is a destination which is totally deserving of its own singular blog post. This is definitely a place you need to see with your own eyes to believe.
Achensee is huge!
Achensee takes up nearly 7km of land in Tirol, Austria. Due to its large size, it can be seen from many different vantage points. There is also a variety of accommodation scattered all around the lake from campsites and caravan parks to hotels.
I could’ve cried from the beauty (if I wasn’t already…)
In the moments I was seeing this I had sunscreen in my eyes and when I took my sunglasses off to get a look at the true colours my eyes were burning. So, when I got out of the car to walk around I looked like I was crying haha. In reality, if my eyes weren’t weeping from burning, I may have wept because of the overwhelming beauty.
If you want to see this exact same view
If you would like to see this same view, this view was near a caravan park called Achensee–Stüberl. It was wonderfully peaceful, with few people around at the time we were visiting (May) however, I can imagine in Summer that Achensee would be full of crowds.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures! This will be my final European post for a while, stay tuned for my next post which will be from another continent.
